Welcome to Sandy Beach on the East side: sodysurfing and bodyboarding paradise. The steep sandy beach here creates a pitching shorebreak barrel with a thick lip, and some of the very best bodysurfing and bosyboarding in Hawaii. The consistent easterly trades create windswell waves here year round. Sandy's is a very consistent spot, often in the summer it will have the biggest waves on Oahu. There is also a left and a right over reef just to the left of the bodysurfing area, called "pipe Littles" and you can ride the left from the reef into the shorebreak. You can really only bodysurf or bodyboard the shorebreak, but the outside also breaks and it's surfable. Known as Full Point, it's located over in front of the showers. It's a windswell left and right reform, but it gets really fun. Occasionaly on a east swell you can catch the left from the outside point all the way through pipe littles into the shorebreak.
